When Pierre Bergé was asked ' Why will there be two museums devoted to Yves Saint laurent ? he replied During the fashion house's earliest days I knew that the memory of Yves Saint Laurent 's work had to be preserved. My decision was based on thus need and his obvious talent Pierre Bergé wanted to provide an overview of the entire creative process in the historic fashion house, including Yves Saint Laurent's studio. It was also very important to establish a museum in Marrakech, where he designed his collections and from where he drew inspiration for the colours of his garments.
